When it comes to tea, TAETEA is known for its various pu-erh tea.
Created by the Yunnan TAETEA Group in 1940, the company has focused on Pu-erh (also spelled as Pu’er) tea for the last 80 years and the majority is made from the sun-dried tea of Yunnan big leaf with “Menghai Taste”.
And for the majority of the tea I have tried from TAETEA, they are ALL loose leaf.
But now they are offering sachet teas of various flavors and I had to try the TAETEA Tangerine Peel Ripe Pu-erh Tea and while I’m more of a loose leaf tea drinker, knowing the quality of TAETEA, I was willing to give their sachets a try.
This tea uses TAETEA tangerine peel Pu-erh teabags using high-quality Guangdong Xinhui dried tangerine peel.
Featuring a Menghai flavor, aged aroma, there is a noticeable difference in taste when hot and warm or even cold.
I also tasted a bit of spice and the tangerine peel taste is a bit subtle.
But I did like it, but I found the difference in temperature made the tea taste different when hot vs. warm.
But I did enjoy this tea and you get 12 sachet tea bags. Doesn’t take long to make and I do recommend it!
