As part of Billabong’s Hawaii series is their Sundays Airlite Hawaii Boardshorts.
The Hawaii series for Billabong typically showcase the Hawaiian islands displayed right next to the logo, may it be on the front logo of the boardshort or on the Billabong logo on the rear pocket.
As I have discussed Billabong many times on my blog, Billabong has a major part in the surfing world worldwide. In Hawaii, Billabong is known for the Pipe Masters as part of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
The Billabong Pipeline Masters is held at Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii and was established in 1970 and is the final event of the WSL Championship Tour.
While Billabong has numerous Hawaii prints for their boardshorts and shirts, the Sundays line are probably the coolest when it comes to artwork.
The Sundays Airlite Hawaii Boardshorts is absolutely beautiful, solid dark blue on the top waist and part of the pocket, but the entire short showcases beautiful vintage artwork of Hawaii.
As for the Billabong Sundays Airlite Hawaii Boardshorts, the allover print features ships and waves with palm trees and hibiscus flowers and clouds. It’s a colorful and cool print.
The shorts are made of Airlite Recycler Stretch Material which is omni-directional engineered, stretch jacquard weave fabric technology made from recycled PET plastic bottles.
Features Micro Repel which the shorts are coated with and eliminates saturation and repels water.
The boardshort features a silicone locking drawcord, while the back pocket features a slicone locking draw cord and has a hook and loop enclosure.
Outseam is 19 which is standard, so should reach right above the kneecap.
As for the shorts, they are fit to size but I noticed that compared to my other shorts of the same size, this one seems a bit tighter than looser compared to other shorts of a similar size that I own.
But there is no denying how awesome these shorts look and the shorts do provide great stretch, especially when crouching during your surf.
