I have reviewed numerous USB mics but the Aokeo AK-60 Professional USB Streaming Podcast PC Microphone is different in the fact that it comes with an AK-35 Suspension Scissor Arm Stand.
For the most part, the whole unit is easy to put together and it’s not difficult to figure out how things should look (just look at the main image of the product).
The set comes with the condenser mic, the suspension scissor arm stand, the pop filter but I didn’t see the microphone windscreen (mic cover).
So far, the grip is staying tight on my desk and each time I needed to adjust the height, it has kept its position without sinking.
For the most part, I absolutely love the overall look and ease of installation, but I did notice one issue and that’s the fact that compared to my other condenser mic’s, recording volume is quite low unless you are close to the mic. My other condenser mic’s are able to record from a foot away clearly but a foot away with the pop filter and it seems that the recording levels are low unless I’m close to the mic.
I have been trying to troubleshoot to see why the recording levels are quite low, while my other condenser mic levels are much higher.
So, not sure if I have a defective mic or perhaps I need to see if there is an updated driver available. But seeing it’s working for others, I’m not going to score this too low.
Especially considering that this mic is under $50 and comes with so much.
So, I can’t give a full review as I have hoped until I figure out the mic level issue, but I will say that I do like the Aokeo AK-60 Professional USB Streaming Podcast PC Microphone/AK-35 Suspension Scissor Arm Stand for what is offered.
