I admit that I was curious about the Propolis Honeycomb Pore Pack.
Primarily as what looks like a square yellow translucent soap bar which looks like a honeycomb with the little bee in the corner.
First, what is Propolis? Propolis is a compound produced by bees from teh sap of needle-leaved trees or evergreens. When they combine with sap with their own discharges and beeswax, it creates a sitcky, greenish brown product used as a coating to build their hives.
It’s been used for thousands of years and Greeks used it to treat abscesses, Egyptians used it to embalm mummies and others used it on wounds and tumors to fight infection.
But all Propolis are not the same, it all depends on what trees/flowers they have access to.
So, there is no true way of saying it works, but Chinese Propolis is thought to have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
This bar contains 3000 mg of Propolis, Centella Asiatica and Calamansi Extract. As well as, Eoseongcho, Jojoba Oil, Hyaluronate, Evening Primrose and Grape Seed Oil. The bar is made with 100% natural ingredients and no additives.
I can say that it felt like a cleanser as it creates great lather that makes your skin feel clean. You want to first wet your face with warm water, roll the bar gently from bottom to top and then after two minutes, wash your face with lukewarm water and then with cold water. No need to wipe your face with a towel, just use your hand.
Overall, the Propolis Honeycomb Pore Pack is a pretty cool cleanser that feels it does clean your face, but it’s important that if you have dry skin, use a moisturizer. For me personally, I use a retinol moisturizer right after.
