The One about the Museum of Hanshin Koshien Stadium – Part 6 – Koshien Stadium (Museum View and Stadium View)

While there is still more to see at the Museum of Hanshin Koshien Stadium, there was one section that I wasn’t expecting and that was to go outdoors and get a look from outfield directly and see Koshien stadium in all its glory.

It’s the only NPB stadium in which the infield is all dirt and outfield is grass.  And even better, there was a high school baseball game taking place at the time I went outside.

As a baseball fan, you can’t help but be appreciative of being at Koshien Stadium, watching a high school baseball game and seeing the dream of teams wanting to play at Koshien, so alive!

I would eventually go out and watch more baseball games in the stands and just enjoying everything!

If there happens to be a high school game playing and it happened to be a Hyogo regional game. My recommendation is after your trip to the museum, go through the front door entrance, there was no tickets being sold as they did in the United States for a high school game (as these were not the actual summer Koshien matchups), so you just go and sit wherever you want and enjoy the game.

When I went, it was Hyogo Prefectural Hokusetsu Sanda High School vs. Hyogo Prefectural Itami High School.

Teams working and playing hard for a chance to get into the National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament (senbatsu kōtō gakkō yakyū taikai) of Japan a.k.a. “Spring Kōshien” or “Senbatsu”.

In Part 7, it’s time to go back inside the museum and check out a hallway that many Japanese baseball fans may be familiar with!
