As I continue to explore Nezu Shrine in Bunkyo ward, you will find a few interesting things around the two-storied romon (the tower gate which was built back in 1706).
For one, you’ll see a bridge which is quite popular for wedding photos or scenery photos in general.
In fact, what is fascinating about Nezu Shrine is around mid-April and early-May as the shrine holds a Tsutsuji Matsuri (Azalea Festival) in which the Azalea bushes around the bridge blossom and you see colors of white, pink, purple and red.
I often tend to be in Japan between October-December, so I don’t get to see the colorful azaleas but you can see the bushes surrounding the bridge in my photos below.
