The One about Zojoji Temple in Minato, Part 2

I wrote about my experience at Zojoji Temple in the Shiba neighborhood of Minato Ward back in 2015.

The San’en-zan Zozo-ji Buddhist Temple is a great temple of the Chinzei branch of Jodo-shu Buddhism and founded by Yuyu Shoso.

While I’m not going to dwell on the history, I will say that there are a few things that brought me back to Zojoji Temple.  And it’s this photo I took high above Tokyo Tower.

As you can see Zojoji Temple, you can see the cemetery behind.  I also saw other areas that I never visited, nor was I sure if I could gain access to these areas within Zojoji.

So, off to Zojoji Temple to explore the location a bit more thoroughly this time around.

Unfortunately, when I got there, the rear of Zojoji Temple is gated and locked.  So, the cemetery that you see high above Tokyo Tower is not accessible.

But this latest visit, it gave me a chance to see the Jizo statues, which I had blogged about.  To see what was inside the temple and to see what the other buildings and monuments were around the area.
