I have discussed my bias towards LACOSTE clothing.
For the longest time, I have been a fan of the French clothing company which was originally founded back in 1933.
Best known as the company that was created by tennis player Jean Rene Lacoste a.k.a. “the Crocodile” because of his tenacity on the tennis court, Lacoste won seven Grand Slam single titles and was the #1 tennis player in the world back in 1926-1927.
In 1933, Jean Rene Lacoste would become the founder of La Societe Chemise Lacoste with Andre Gillier and would produce tennis shirts with a crocodile on the chest.
A brand that was influential with the upper class, Lacoste would reach enormous popularity in the 1970’s and became the “preppy” wardrobe of the ’80s in America, especially when it was partnered with Izod and clothing was known as Izod Lacoste (a union that began in the 1950’s and end in 1993).
The company would receive a boost of synergy thanks to French designer Christophe Lemaire and also gain visibility as athletes around the world would become the face of Lacoste.
While the company is now owned by Swiss company, Maus Freres, the LACOSTE brand continues to be strong.
As for LACOSTE fragrances are concerned, the LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. ENERGIZED EDITION is a limited edition cologne for men by LACOSTE and was released in March 2016.
The cologne is an aromatic spicy fragrance which features top notes of hesperidium fruits, mint, ginger with middle notes of jasmine, tuberose and base notes of cedar wood and leather.
Unlike previous cologne bottles, this one features the popular LACOSTE crocodile with various flags from different countries.
I was looking for a cologne for spring and summer that featured citrus, ginger and mint. Nothing too spicy but something cooling and fresh.
But most importantly, I was interested in finding a lasting cologne, as I felt 2014-2015 were years of purchasing of various cologne but unfortunately, they didn’t last long to my liking.
Fortunately, LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. ENERGIZED EDITION lasts and I mean, from this morning to early evening. I like that! As I have had enough of cologne that only lasted for an hour or less.
But this is what I have been looking for in terms of a spring scent that is citrus and fresh, cool mint but most importantly, it’s going to have to last in order to get my recommendation. And the LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. ENERGIZED EDITION passed with flying colors!
It’s important to note that a purchase of LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. ENERGIZED EDITION, comes with a polyester white, gray and red travel bag (primarily all white), just red on ENERGIZED lettering, the zipper, the shoulder protector and buckle area. The bag has an interior pocket with zipper.
In fact, I really enjoyed the LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. ENERGIZED EDITION much more than the LACOSTE EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Pure White Eau de toilette.
And if you enjoyed it as much as I do, because it’s a limited edition, you may want to buy more than one!
