As I have traveled the world, one thing I always want to try once in awhile is pizza.
And while the majority of what we see out there are popular chains, I absolutely love finding local pizzeria’s, especially one that gives back to the community.
Located in Central California (Kings County: Hanford and Lemoore) is Fatte Albert’s Pizza Co. Owned by Steve and Wendy Gonzales, their local pizzeria’s offer gourmet pizza and I have heard about the pizzeria but never tried it until recently.
While I didn’t go to the original location in Hanford, I went to the restaurant in Lemoore, which is not far from HWY 41. The location I thought was a take-and-bake type of shop but it actually is a full restaurant serving gourmet pizza and seeing the patrons, I could tell the location was quite popular.
Customer service was very helpful and while many were there eating and watching the game, I was looking around and was happy to see this local pizzeria having a pretty solid social media presence.
But as a person with a good sense of humor, I couldn’t help but laugh at the slogan of the restaurant behind the t-shirts of the employees.
Looking at the menu, I was amazed by the offerings. Many types of sandwiches, pizza but their specialty gourmet pizza’s are what caught my eye:
The Frazier
(Formerly “Sticky Fingers”) Pepperoni, ham, fresh mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, onions, sausage & bacon w/house red sauce

Chicken Portabella
Creamy alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken, & sliced portabella mushrooms.
We went for the Carnivore Pizza and the Pollo Alfredo.
For the most part, the pizza is delicious, but the pizza is slightly flimsy as it flops if you try to hold it by the end of the crust. So, I recommend eating the pizza on a plate.
Overall, the pizza is good and with all the offerings, the pizza at Fatte Albert’s Pizza Co. has something to offer everyone with its many choices on the menu. But I have to be truthful, after looking at the menu, I’m now wanting to give the calzone a try.
UPDATE: We tried the calzone at Fatte Albert’s Pizza Co. and it was fantastic! You get more for your money as these calzone are thick and full of three choices of whatever you want inside them. All this for $13.99 and just eating one will fill you up completely.
If you are in the Kings County area (Hanford or Lemoore, California), definitely give Fatte Albert’s Pizza Co. a try!
