The One about Miller’s Antiques Handbook & Price Guide 2018-2019

When it comes to antique handbooks and price guides, Judith Miller’s “Antique Handbook & Price Guide” are one of the best out there.

With that being said, it’s not perfect nor will it please everyone, including long time Antique Handbook & Price Guide readers.

The reason being is that with each handbook and price guide, there are things touched upon in those years, that are not touched on in another year.

So, you’re not going to find everything in just one book, certain interests, you’ll need to purchase a previous year. But considering how much is included in each “Miller’s Antiques Handbook & Price Guide”, Judith Miller books are fantastic, just no perfect and considering that including everything would probably require a vol.1 and 2, Miller’s tries its best to include what they can in one book, while introducing something new.

So, for those wondering what is being featured in the 2018-2019 version, here is what is included:

PORCELAIN (Pages 8-47)
POTTERY (Pages 48-73)

So, there are a good number of things features, especially for Oriental (Ceramics/Works of Art), Furniture and Decorative Arts (Ceramics, Furniture, Glass, Clocks, Lighting, Metalware, Sculpture).

So, if you want, let’s say arcade machines or fossils, you’ll want to go to the 2016-2017 guide.

If you want autographs, Disney, meteorites, etc., then you will want to check out the 2014-2015 guide.

And so, if there are certain things that you are interested, you may need to purchase other books as well.

But for all it’s worth, what Miller & staff were able to include in this 2018-2019 Antiques Handbook & Price Guide is fantastic. There is no way to fit everything and sure they could have limited many pages to fit various topics but if anything, a lot of the things you find in antique stores deal with porcelain, ceramics and furniture, clocks, music boxes, etc. And all those things that you usually find often, are featured in the primary contents.

Again, these price guides are not going to be perfect for everyone and sure, certain things featured in previous books, may not appear in this book but the good news is you can find the other handbook and price guides online or even get them used for a great price.

“Miller’s Antiques Handbook & Price Guide 2018-2019” is recommended!
