The One about my Uncle Jun

Today, I’m in Southern California spending time with family as I was to visit with my uncle Jun.

Jun was in a battle for his life against myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells).

According to the Mayo Clinic, plasma cells help you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs.

Multiple myeloma causes cancer cells to accumulate in the bone marrow, where they crowd out healthy blood cells. Rather than produce helpful antibodies, the cancer cells produce abnormal proteins that can cause kidney problems.

While driving to our relative’s home, I just received word that my Uncle Jun had passed away.

I want to take this time not to mourn but to honor him because he was one of the most generous souls anyone would come in contact with.

While many of us have memories of him, the memory that I will remember is during the “American Idol” 2004 year.

As I have worked a long time in the entertainment industry, my uncle also had some involvement as well.

Jun enjoyed life the best he can and always had a smile on his face.

He was passionate about life and will forever remember him for spreading his happiness with his family, friends and more.

So, I take this time to say rest in peace, uncle Jun Amith.

And while I am still alive and breathing on this planet, I will do what I can to support the fight against cancer.
