The One about the LACOSTE SPORT Comba Sneakers

I have posted about my bias towards LACOSTE apparel.

For the longest time, I have been a fan of the French clothing company which was originally founded back in 1933.

Best known as the company that was created by tennis player Jean Rene Lacoste a.k.a. “the Crocodile” because of his tenacity on the tennis court, Lacoste won seven Grand Slam single titles and was the #1 tennis player in the world back in 1926-1927.

In 1933, Jean Rene Lacoste would become the founder of La Societe Chemise Lacoste with Andre Gillier and would produce tennis shirts with a crocodile on the chest.  And since then, LACOSTE has been a brand that many people will identify with pique polo shirts and its crocodile logo.

And as for the original connection with sports, LACOSTE SPORT continues with various polos and also their shoes.

My last review for the LACOSTE SPORT Protected sneaker was not at all positive, but this time around, I can easily say that the LACOSTE SPORT Comba sneakers are wonderful!

I absolutely love the red, white and blue colors.  The shoes are made in Thailand and padding features Ortholite for cushioning, odor and fungus inhibiting and air flow for a cool food and wicks away moisture.  The shoes are non-washable.

I especially like the circular grip traction underneath the shoe.  But while comparable to my Adidas Stan Smith, with its striking silhouette and classic color palette, I do like the red, white blue diagonal stripes with the LACOSTE logo right on the center.

The rear end of the shoe has a grey leather with the year 1933, when LACOSTE began producing their famous polo shirts.

The shoes are absolutely comfortable, stylish and everything one can want from a sneaker.  The quality and build is very good.  Stitching shows no errors, gluing, no errors.

Aside from my Adidas Stan Smith’s, the LACOSTE SPORT Comba sneakers have become my favorite sneakers to wear with jeans or chinos.  It’s a fairly stylish sneaker and if you love the red and blue stripes to go on the white body and don’t mind the LACOSTE Crocodile logo (I prefer to have a sneaker where the crocodile can be seen), then you can’t go wrong with the LACOSTE SPORT Comba sneakers.
